Karen is a proven business manager with a strategic mindset and a winning attitude. I am joining Optima after spending 25+ years in various roles in the Oil and Gas Industry. I have spent the last couple of years assisting my husband in his General Contracting business, providing support in all the accounting areas including project accounting and monthly financial statements. I have extensive knowledge of accounting, operational accounting, and financial systems with years of management expertise. My skills include operational and construction accounting, financial software integration and implementation, audit coordination, due diligence with experience in acquisitions, mergers and divestitures, and SOX compliance including monthly control testing. I am a dynamic leader with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Colorado.
