As a Controller at Optima Office, Maribel provides oversight and recommends improvements in accounting procedures and systems. Her expertise includes month-end close processes, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting. She also handles software implementation and coordinates with tax preparers, auditors, and other business partners.
Prior to joining Optima Office, Maribel served as Controller and Senior Finance Manager in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. She also has public accounting experience as an auditor. Her client work spanned manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, higher education, investments, and both private and public sectors. Maribel holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of San Diego and is fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.
